Me and My Shadow - Part 1

The shadow self is our sin nature. Understanding my shadow will help me understand why I do what I don’t want to do. Much of our sinful behavior is the result of either outright rebellion (“I just want to do it because I want too and I don’t care about the consequences”) or unresolved hurt. When someone hurts us, we often respond by either withdrawing into shame thinking—“There is something wrong with me and I deserved it,” or anger—“I will get you for what you did to me.”

The best response of course is to seek forgiveness when we rebel and forgive those who hurt us, but how do we do that in the moment?

In the following video: Me and My Shadow - Part 1, I will discuss many of the reasons why we do what we don’t want to do (Like Paul in Romans 7) and what we can do to stop the sinful behavior.
